Aftershock
is regarded as a minor classic in the area of change management. Written
just as the effects of change were beginning to be felt in full in
the late 1980's, it focuses on the effects on people -- the "people
breakage" associated with change -- and what to do about it. Based
on skills and tools developed by Steve Buchholz and Harry Woodward
at Wilson Learning Corporation, it offers specific applications for
recognizing individual reactions in people and tailoring specific
approaches to those reactions.
As one corporate reader
put it: "Aftershock is still the best book out there
for addressing this key area of change -- supporting people and helping
them move through it." |
